Furniture Fills a House. Finishes Make a Home.

A room isn't memorable because of what's in it. It's memorable because of how it makes you feel. The magic is in the finishings - the thoughtful layers that bring warmth, personality, and meaning to a space. From color and lighting to textiles, artwork, and personal treasures, they're the details that transform a furnished room into a beautiful, well-loved home.

About Jane Design and Home

Beautiful Homes Aren't Created By Making More Decisions. They're Created By Making Good Ones.

I don't want your home to look like I did it. I want it to look like you did.

My job is to help people who love the idea of a beautiful home but don't quite know how to create it. Maybe you're frustrated that nothing quite feels like you or you're paralyzed over how to move the ideas in your head to reality. Maybe you're tired of saving ideas, second-guessing yourself, and wondering how anyone can possibly choose from ten thousand shades of white. Or, like most us, you just don't have the time.

Making your house feel like a home shouldn't be stressful. My role is to edit, not overwrite. I help you bring clarity to the process by refining ideas, making all the pieces make sense together and to help you make decisions with confidence. The process is collaborative, low-key, and paced around your life - not mine. And dare I say it might even be fun.

How Jane Can Help

Every home has a different story. Every client needs something a little different.

You might need help pulling a room together. Or, you want someone to guide you through a big refresh or renovation. Or, you just need a trusted eye to help you make confident decisions.

Wherever you are, I'll meet you there. Together, we'll clarify your vision and bring your ideas to life with thoughtful decisions that feel right for your home - not someone else's. Whether we're choosing paint colors, creating an entire room, or adding the finishing touches, my goal is always the same: to help you create a beautiful, well-loved home you'll never want to leave.

Meet Maura

Good Design Is About How A Home Feels To Live In.

I've never believed the best homes are the most expensive or the most perfectly designed.

They're the ones you never want to leave.

At Jane, I think of my role less as a traditional designer and more as your trusted guide. I help you cut through the endless options, trust your instincts, and make the decisions that turn scattered ideas into a home that feels warm, beautiful, and yours.

Because good design isn't about creating a house that looks like mine.

It's about helping you create one that feels like yours.

Welcome to the conversations we'd probably be having if you came over for coffee.

Jane Says is where design advice meets random stories, strong opinions, and the occasional unnecessary deep dive into lamps.

Because life's too short for bad lighting, tiny rugs, and homes that don't make you happy. Yes, the name is a nod to Jane's Addiction. You can thank me later.

*Yes, yes, you’re right, this is an homage to Jane’s Addiction. Back in a time long, long ago, I used to sing it in a rock and roll band. Give it a listen, you can thank me later.
